Canes go "O" for fourth Next Game - Jan. 16 @ Westminster vs Blackhawk Sign
the Red Hurricane Report Guestbook Continuing their road their seemingly season long road trip the Hurricanes lost again on foreign hardwood. The loss to North Allegheny makes it six defeats in the last eight games, all on the road, for the Canes. North Alleghenys style and the Hurricanes youth figured to be a bad combination as patience is the name of the game when you face the Tigers. New Castle fell behind early and could never quite catch up before being shut out in the fourth period and falling to the Tigers 49-28. New Castle jumped on top 4-0 on buckets by Dom Joseph and Leon Ward but did not score again until the Tigers had reeled off 17 straight. The Canes rallied in the second period but still trailed a the half 26-17. New Castle put together a little run at the end of the third quarter to close within striking distance of the Tigers 34-28. But the unthinkable happened in the fourth period. No points for the Canes. No points from the field and none from the free throw line while North Allegheny score 15 to finish of the Hurricanes. Mark Cook was the Canes leading scorer with 10. The road trip continues with New Castle visiting Butler Friday night. . * Starter
