Canes aim right on Center Next Game - Tues. Dec. 12 vs Pine-Richland Sign
the Red Hurricane Report Guestbook Saturday night at the Block Party Shoot-out at Ambridge High School the Canes finally found out who they were playing. Originally expected to face the Aliquippa Quips the opponent changed three times for a variety of reasons. The Canes were the last of the four games scheduled so the promoters could take advantage of the fact the Hurricanes fans travel the best of any in the WPIAL. The Canes didnt disappoint the following as they rained threes on the Center Trojans and won easily 77-44. Led by Mark Cooks 21 points New Castle jumped out early and led after one period 18-10. The Canes halftime lead was 14, 37-23. The third period saw the Canes end any hopes Center had of coming back by outscoring them 22-9 in the quarter. The teams coasted home in the fourth for the final score of 77-44. Mark Cook had 21 points on 5 threes leading three Canes in double figures. Mark DeMonaco added 14 with four threes and Leon Ward pitched in with 13. . * Starter
