It seems like this young New Castle Red Hurricanes football team is picking up right where it left off last season. I believe that the experience they have will make them contenders in the league.

This is a basically a junior team, that played a lot last year as sophomores. Allen Billyk, 6'4 245 offensive tackle (All-Conference first team last year) leads the charge on the line, which has high hopes for the upcoming season.

The Canes will have the same backfield as last year with Russ Relic calling the signals, along with runningbacks Zach Mariacher, Allen Scott, and Robert Calhoun, from last years 5-5 team.

Moon High School seems to be the team to beat in the conference.

Billyk, Mariacher, Elonzo Matthews (All-Conference last year) and Tom Sabol lead the defensive side of the ball. The Red Hurricanes break camp Friday for their scrimmage at home vs. Seneca Valley.........................................
